Find answers to common questions and solutions to issues you might encounter.

  <Accordion title="Clarity is not responding to commands">
    1. Make sure Clarity is installed in your workspace
    2. Try running `/clarity-help` to test basic functionality
    3. Check that you have completed onboarding (run any `/clarity-` command to trigger the onboarding modal if needed)
    4. If issues persist, reinstall the app from [clarityapp.io](https://clarityapp.io)

  <Accordion title="Auto coaching is not working">
    1. Run `/clarity-settings` and verify auto coaching is enabled for the channel
    2. Make sure Clarity has been invited to the channel
    3. Check your monthly usage limit with `/clarity-status` — the free plan allows 5 auto coaching suggestions per month

  <Accordion title="Replace button is not working">
    The Replace button uses your Slack OAuth permissions to update the original message. If it is not working:

    1. Click the reinstall link if you see one in the error message
    2. Re-authorize Clarity with the updated permissions
    3. Try replacing your message again

  <Accordion title="I reached my usage limit">
    Usage limits reset on the first of each month. Your options:

    * Wait for the monthly reset
    * Ask your workspace admin to upgrade to Pro (200 auto coaching + 200 rephrase per month)
    * Use `/clarity-rephrase` for your most important messages

  <Accordion title="I cannot access billing settings">
    Only the workspace admin can manage billing. The person who first installed Clarity is the admin. Contact them to:

    * Upgrade to Pro
    * Update payment information
    * View invoices

  <Accordion title="How do I become the workspace admin?">
    The person who first installed Clarity becomes the admin. Admins can transfer admin rights via `/clarity-settings`. If the original admin left your organization, contact [ghulatid@gmail.com](mailto:ghulatid@gmail.com).

  <Accordion title="Clarity is flagging things I don't want it to flag">
    Customize which aspects Clarity checks by adjusting your coaching flags:

    1. Run `/clarity-settings`
    2. Uncheck flags you want to disable (e.g., uncheck "Unclear / Not Actionable" if you prefer brief messages)
    3. Click **Save**

    At least one flag must remain enabled.

  <Accordion title="Can teammates see my coaching suggestions?">
    No. Coaching suggestions are ephemeral messages only visible to you. Your teammates see your original message until you choose to replace it.
